Mindset & Performance Coaching for Life Workbook
Why
- We train our bodies to move and perform activities.
- We train our ears to listen to wonderful sounds.
- We train our eyes to see beautiful sights
- We must train our minds to learn how to respond to challenges
Adolescence (ages 13-19) includes multiple transitions in life marked by moving from middle school to high school to college/workforce and then into adulthood responsibilities.
Adolescence is a critical time to develop a system for problem-solving and critical thinking to construct a healthy mindset framework to leverage throughout adolescence into adulthood. Mental health problems in adolescence have garnered significant attention as prevalence and disease burden are increasing and most likely will continue to rise as the stigma of seeking mental health assistance lessens over time.
This mindset training program provides a framework and toolset for developing appropriate conflict resolution skills, problem-solving approaches, and critical thinking concepts to enable adolescents to thrive in a continuously evolving and challenging world.
Focus of the Workbook
Do~Mojo Mindset Workbook #1 is intended to provide a framework for individuals to face the constant and turbulent times of transitioning from childhood to adulthood.
The concepts and theories are firmly rooted in the scholarly theory of contextual intelligence and practiced traditions of professional mentoring by teachers, coaches, parents, and healthcare professionals.
This is NOT intended to be a professional counseling or mental healthcare provider program, rather it is focused on developing a healthy framework for individuals to develop a skillset of resources to manage life in general.
Learners will be well grounded in the four core areas of Contextual Intelligence (CI); [1] Recognize, [2] Reorder, [3] Respond, and [4] Reflect.
Learners will be educated on how to employ Contextual Intelligence principles including maintaining a climate of mutual respect and shared values and using the combined knowledge across individual experiences to enhance their ability to understand the influence of time and ability to view issues through sight: Hindsight, Insight, and Foresight.
Individuals will utilize material developed by highly qualified researchers, teachers, coaches, and established practitioners. The richness and variety of experiences in the clinical practice settings (e.g., college, professional, high school, sports, military, and first responders) of the information provides a depth and breadth of knowledge necessary to fulfill the need for mindset coaching of adolescents.
